Fruit Crumble

Fruit crumble is one of my favorite breakfast item. We grew up eating this healthy dish. It is very nutritive and tastes awesome. Lovely aroma of cinnamon wont let you resist it. It’s nutritious value can be increased by adding nuts in to it. It is also a very good source of fiber.

Fruit crumble is very simple and easy to make. Even kids can help you making this dish.

Here is the recipe. Hope you like it


INGREDIENTS:


FOR CRUMBLE:

Flour                                    1 cup

Oats                                     1 cup

Plain white sugar                    1 cup

Cinnamon powder                   1/2 tsp

Butter                                     1/4 cup

nuts                                    A hand full of almonds, ,cashew nuts, walnuts and

                                         raisins

FRUIT
Fruit Cocktail 1 small can or any fresh fruits of your choice I added the following:

Mango                           1 peeled and cubed

Peach                            1 peeled an cubed

Apple                              1 peeled and cubed

Sugar                              2 to 3 tbsp

Cinnamon                        1/2 tsp ground

RECIPE:
1. Preheat the oven to 180C.
2. Spread the fruit in an oven proof dish sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over it.

3. To make the crumble, put the flour, butter , cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. Rub together with your fingertips until you have a rough breadcrumb texture.

4. Scatter the crumble topping evenly over the pineapple. Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes until top is pale golden and crunchy.
