I was having sore throat today. Whenever I have cough, flu or sore throat I usually try to use home remedies. Normally I take Turmeric Milk. But today I was not in mood of taking it.
I was wandering here and there thinking what should I do because medicine is the last thing that I normally take. Suddenly I remembered that in past I used to take cinnamon tea for sore throat and cough and that used to have magical effect on my throat. I made two cups because my sister was also going through the same situation. And after taking the tea I was really feeling relieved.
Cinnamon (Daar Cheeni) tea is very simple and easy to make. You can take the cinnamon tea in winters as well, as it keeps the body warm.
The tea has very good aroma which comes from cinnamon and cardamom.
INGREDIENTS:
Milk 1 cup
Water 1 cup
Cinnamon 1 small stick
Green cardamom 1
Black Tea 1 tsp
Sugar 3/4 tbsp
RECIPE:
- Heat milk and water in a pan at medium heat.
- Add cinnamon and cardamom. Bring it to boil.
- Slow down the heat, add tea and sugar.
- Leave for 2 – 3 mins. The tea will change its color from white to light golden brown.
- Bring it to boil and remove the pan from heat.
- Strain the tea in cups.
- Serve hot.
