Eid ul Azha

Eid ul Azha or Eid ul Adha is one of the most important festivals celebrated by Muslims throughout the world.

Eid ul Adha commemorates the sacrifice made by Hazrat Ibrahim on 10th Zilhajj. In remembrance of that great sacrifice, Muslims sacrifice goat, cow, sheep or camels and distribute the meat among friends, neighbors, relatives and poor (needy) people.

Like other parts of the Muslim world, Eid ul Azha is celebrated in Pakistan with great enthusiasm. People visit their relatives, neighbors and friends to greet them eid. They wear new clothes and decorate their houses with candles and lights. Different type of dishes are prepared at homes for the guests specially meaty dishes. Bar B Q parties and get togethers are arranged where friends get a chance to sit and chat to gather. This festival lasts of three days.

I have selected few meat recipes for this festival. Hope you will like it 🙂
